Synopsis :
In the town of Blithe Hollow, Norman Babcock is a boy who can speak to the dead, but no one besides his eccentric new friend, Neil, believes his ability is real. One day, Norman’s estranged eccentric uncle tells him of an important annual ritual must he take up to protect the town from an curse cast by a witch it condemned centuries ago. Eventually, Norman decides to cooperate, but things don’t go according to plan. Now, a magic storm of the witch threatens Blithe Hollow as the accursed dead rise. Together with unexpected new companions, Norman struggles to save his town, only to discover the horrific truth of the curse. With that insight, Norman must resolve the crisis for good as only he can.

The Adventures of Tintin

Sebagai seorang wartawan, naluri Tintin (Jamie Bell kadang menuntunnya pada masalah besar dengan risiko tinggi. Di saat yang sama, naluri itu juga yang membawa Tintin bertemu banyak karakter menarik termasuk Captain Haddock (Andy Serkis). Kali ini, petualangan Tintin bakal sepenuhnya melibatkan kapten kapal yang hobi mabuk dan memaki-maki ini. Dan yang lebih menarik lagi, ada harta karun yang tak ternilai harganya menunggu untuk ditemukan.

Petualangan bermula dari sebuah replika kapal Unicorn yang dijual di pasar loak. Tintin tertarik pada kapal ini karena detilnya yang sangat mengagumkan. Celakanya, ada beberapa orang yang ternyata juga berminat pada kapal ini. Bukan sekedar berminat, mereka siap melakukan apa saja untuk memiliki kapal kecil ini. Jelas saja ini membuat naluri penyelidik Tintin tergugah. Pasti ada sesuatu yang istimewa dari kapal replika ini.

Tintin ternyata bukanlah satu-satunya orang yang memiliki replika kapal Unicorn. Captain Haddock juga punya kapal replika yang benar-benar sama. Malahan, menurut Capatain Haddock, kapal Unicorn adalah kapal yang berlayar di bawah komando nenek moyang Captain Haddock. Kapal ini jadi target bajak laut bernama Red Rackham (Daniel Craig) namun harta yang tersimpan di dalamnya tak pernah ditemukan.

Kisah Tintin memang bukan kisah yang asing. Komik karya Herge ini sempat begitu populer beberapa tahun yang lalu. Jadi layak kalau Steven Spielberg dan Peter Jackson begitu berminat mengangkat kisah petualangan jurnalis muda ini ke layar lebar. Memang tak semua film adaptasi komik bisa sukses namun dengan sederet nama besar yang sudah berpengalaman, rasanya cukup aman untuk mengatakan kalau The Adventures of Tintin ini layak untuk ditunggu.
